Square plastic reuseable stencil for creating Zentangle step out grids

Square ‘Tic Tac Toe’ grid style reusable plastic stencil for creating Tangle step out grids and pattern libraries.

As a Certified Zentangle Teacher I often get asked about Tangle storage for step outs and as it’s rather time consuming to draw a grid pattern page after page, I designed this ‘Tic Tac Toe’ style plastic stencil for those who use sketchbooks to draw and store their Tangles. My aim was to create a uniform grid pattern stencil that my students can use with a pen or pencil and without the need for time consuming measuring, making sure each page matches the page before etc, so I decided to make two, this ones fits perfectly over the top of an Apprentice size Zentangle Tile. There is another listing for a smaller ‘Tic Tac Toe’ style stencil that works in the same way but for the standard size official Zentangle Tiles.

There are 3 parts to this stencil, with the overall size of 140x140mm, 14x14cms with an inner square that measures 115x115mm, 11.5x11.5cms that’s fits over the top of the Apprentice size Zentangle tiles. There are a further x9 smaller squares equally spaced apart to form a grid pattern with each small square measuring 34x34mm, 3.4x3.4cms

Over the top of the grid there is a ‘Title line’ that has been cut out so you can use this to include the Tangle name, Designer and or the date, which measures 115mm, 11.5cms across.

This stencil is ideal for use in a sketchbook to create a uniform Tangle library or Tangle ‘Step outs’ grid or to use the x9 squares as an outline and fill in with your chosen Tangles.
