An Introduction to Tangling on black Tiles

Discover the striking and dramatic effects of Tangling on Black Zentangle Tiles in this creative and mindful session. Using white pens and pencils on dark backgrounds, we will explore techniques that create contrast, highlights, depth and a beautiful glowing effect within your artwork.

During the class you will learn more advanced official Tangles, Strings, Borders and shading techniques while experimenting with the unique visual impact created by working on black Tiles. Students will complete one or more finished Tiles to take home and keep.

This session is ideal for students looking to expand their Zentangle practice and experience a different and inspiring approach to Tangling.

Students should have completed the 101 – Introduction to Zentangle class before attending.

Completion of the “Next Steps” class is also recommended.

Class price: £50 per person
Includes Black Zentangle Tiles, a white Gelly Roll pen and white charcoal pencil to keep and continue using at home.

Please bring your Zentangle toolkit from previous classes, including your Micron pen, pencil and tortillion, as these will be used during the session. You are also welcome to bring along any favourite supplies you enjoy working with.
