Clever Celtic Knots Workshop

Let’s get knotting!

This creative 2-hour workshop is all about learning how to draw beautiful Celtic-style knots that look intricate, flowing and full of depth. Don’t worry if they seem complicated at first — I’ll guide you through the process step-by-step in a simple and approachable way.

During the session, we’ll explore how to create the woven “over and under” effect by drawing lines that appear to pass in front of and behind one another. I’ll also show you how to use shading to add depth, dimension and movement to your knotwork designs.

You’ll learn two different methods for creating Celtic knots, giving you techniques that you can continue practising and developing at home long after the workshop has finished.

This class includes the Tiles we’ll be tangling on. Please remember to bring your basic toolkit from previous classes, including:

• Micron fine liner pens
• Pencils
• Tortillion/blending stump

These tools are essential for the workshop.

You’re also very welcome to bring along any favourite pens, pencils or creative supplies from home that you’d like to experiment with.

Additional tools and supplies will be available to purchase on the day if needed.
