Playing with Patterns

This class is all about pattern play, how to design patterns, how to use basic shapes and layer them to create intricate more advanced patterns. How to develop your own patterns so when completed you will be able to use them in your own mandala making at home. We will start to create a pattern library that you can continue to add to as you design more patterns. We will repeat and play with these patterns adding variations of light and dark, thickness of lines aswell as shading which will help students to choose their preferred style for future mandala making.

The workshop includes a basic materials kit including a pencil and black fine liner pen along with an A5 mandala pattern journal which I’ve hand made but please feel free to bring any of your favourite art supplies from home.

Extra materials can be provided at cost
